Congratulations on your decision to learn more about how a birth and postpartum doula can help support you and your family!
I’m Chloe Adams-Gibbs, the birth and postpartum doula behind Midland Doula! My birth and postpartum doula journey began in 2021 after the traumatic birth of my first daughter. You can read my birth story here.
What I experienced exposed me to the gaps in our healthcare system regarding maternal health mental well-being, postpartum care, and newborn care. Because of these experiences, I am especially passionate about serving families recovering from birth trauma and aiming for a VBAC.
My attitude toward birth is very modern and balanced. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to people so there can’t be when welcoming a new human to the world. Regardless of your birth choices, I will support you and ensure you are respected no matter what. Hospital or home, in water or in a bed, midwife or doctor – I will stand next to you and your partner with candor, a nurturing touch, and a joke on hand.
Along with being a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula and Birth Instructor, I am a VBAC Link Advanced Doula and am qualified to educate on and promote successful VBACs and prevent C-sections in all mamas. I also am a very proud Body Ready Method Pro. I am also currently working on becoming a Lactation Counselor and I can’t wait to offer that knowledge to you!
Whether you have searched for a doula for your pregnancy, birth, or postpartum period (or all 3!) you may be overwhelmed with the list of questions you would like answered. This is completely normal and I’m happy to chat with you and answer any questions you may have. In the meantime, feel free to check out the F.A.Q page.
Proudly serving the West Texas area for in-person care: Midland, Odessa, Monahans, Big Spring, Greenwood, Gardendale, Andrews, Crane, Seminole, and Pecos. If you’re outside of this service area, I offer virtual doula services. You can get more information here.
